      Pros

      Historically a great company that I believe will bounce back after a change in senior leadership.

      Cons

      Senior leadership, lack of focus and commitment to our vision, too many knee jerk reactions and decision making and great people yet no on to hear our voice.

      Pros

      The only good thing about working for this company is the ability to work from a home office. That's it. Geez...how am I going to come up with 100 words to complete this section....well, I guess I could say that Staples and WB Mason and Office Basics do it so much better than OD. Do you remember the OD commercial with the hand in the box? Are you kidding me? That was horrible marketing. Go to youtube and type in office depot commercial. People have made some very funny spoofs about that horrible, horrible commercial. Staples on the other hand has a competent marketing department that creative campaigns that people remember. The easy button anyone?

      Cons

      Where do I start...management that doesn't tell you anything...management that steals from the company. Yeah. A manager actually used people's corporate credit cards to buy suits,dinners you name it after the rep had quit. There are other managers that preach integrity, yet have affairs with each other. It was so bad, that they actually addressed it during a meeting. I think so of the higher ups told them that it had to stop...The ceo is running the company into the ground. The stock has dropped significantly in the past year. They actually laid off a good portion of the sales force after the Christmas party last year to try to get the stock value back up. Horrible delivery service...when you would close an account, you would lose it very quickly due to poor service.

      Quick advancement opportunity for low level positions, then its downhill.

      Pros

      Quick advancement of opportunities. Good people to work with. It's not very busy until you reach the black friday and back to school times, thats when having a low staff hurts you but its not that bad. Overall its a pretty good company, they just need to improve their employee service.

      Cons

      Miscommunication among management, senior management can't control their store. Security systems are outdated and don't work in older stores so its impossible to prevent shrink when office depot is cutting hours for all associates and you only have three to four people, including the manager on duty, running the entire store.
