Pros

You get the opportunity to meet lots of new people, coworkers and customers. Great clearance prices. You can learn a lot and strengthen skills here. Great for a first retail job. Love the job and challenges it presents.

Cons

Pay is minimum wage. Raises are pennies. Literally. No one is full time other than managers and a couple of associates who have worked for the company 10+ years. Management does not want to promote you no matter how hard you work. Customers are always considered right even when they are dead wrong. Never enough people scheduled for shifts. Find myself always working 3 times as hard because managers are running around like a chicken with their head cut off, and still get barely any recognition. Floor people and cashiers doing managers assignments because they do not have enough time to do it themselves. The new program for customers is not effective. All of the money spent on creating this and the new mobile devices could look a lot better in our checks. Hours are all over the place. Even with open availability you hardly get hours. When you try to change your availability they will not honor it. When you inquire about advancement it is clear you aren't being taken serious. No room for advancement really unless you are content with waiting 10-15 years.

Pros

Company has made allot of improvements at the corporate level, hopefully not too late.

Cons

Company no longer wants Managers who can "think outside the box" and drive profiable sales, they have now shifted the culture to hands off managers who can needlessly babble over the radio and micro manage associates to the point where they will walk out.
