Pros

Solid Health Benefits Quarterly Bonuses Talented people

Cons

As book of business grew, lots of short sightedness in the long term forecast. Less than stellar talent from the former CHRO’s prior organization was hired to replace legacy talent which created a lot of distrust in the organization. The business had amazing talent and people I was proud to support. Field based employees gave 200 percent to support customers during COVID and would go the extra mile whenever you asked them. Employees were grouped together in blind chat rooms when layoffs occurred which was highly impersonal and a slap in the face to those that had worked tirelessly when the business asked everyone to step up for customers.

Pros

Casual work attire. Convenient parking. On-site lunch cafe and gym.

Cons

Recent acquisition of competitor is resulting in chaos. Trying to merge two different corporate cultures, procedures and software is a nightmare. Upper mgmt insists on using less robust software for future products "because we bought them." The lower mgmt level is mostly comprised of incompetents with no people skills and no work ethic - totally removed from the day ton day operation of the dept they "manage." Watch your back or you will get stabbed. The "Old Boy Network" is in full bloom at Omnicell.

Pros

Omnicell has a pretty good history of benefit packages.

Cons

I have worked for Omnicell for 18 years, and unfortunately the recent turn of events at Omnicell has recently made a serious turn for the worse. We just had our 2nd round of layoffs within a 6 month period. We have seen a restructuring of our meal allowance for traveling employees which due to my health history is causing significant health complications. Our bonus program has been reduced, it was not due to a failure of the individual contributors at the company but rather a failure of the executive staff to accurately forecast incoming revenue. I suspect next we will see the bonus program permanently reduced or simply done away with. In these fought economic times we are ALL suffering, the company isn’t making as MUCH profit as predicted, inflation is affecting the company but what this company fails to realize is inflation is effecting its employees even more so. What this company is doing is effectively punishing its employees, some of the MOST dedicated, driven high effective employees are simply tired of it. We all know there are other opportunities out there that are paying better. Where we make a higher base salary, better perks, better work life balance. I would advise Omnicell‘s executives to share in the heartache of these rough times instead of transferring the results of THEIR mistakes to the employees.
