Great Product Vision, but High Employee Turnover

Product vision and outlook are great Good Benefits (401k matching, great PTO, and WFH) Verily driving product innovation

Cons

High employee turnover Employee advancement does not seem to be a priority Onduo Leadership does not communicate well Verily does not communicate well Poor culture but they are working on this

Terrible vice presidents, worse managers

Pros

Your choice of computer, mission-driven

Cons

People in leadership roles from VPs to managers are controlling micro managers. HR has mile long files with complaints on every manager, pretends to want to help, but ultimate is there to protect the company and it's leaders. Sure, you work "with Verily," but you won't get any of Verily's perks, especially not salary.

We appreciate that your experience with leadership was not a positive one, and we believe that many of the changes that we have made -- including new leadership and training programs for new and existing leaders -- will help Onduo continue to improve in making its workplace a good place for its employees. Onduo is a Verily subsidiary, and as of 2021, Onduo employees are now eligible for all Verily benefits.

Positive people and outlook; upset former employees

- Smart, positive and well-intentioned people - Focus on fostering teams and continual growth - Get-things-done attitude and culture - Fun group activities and ideas - often initiated by Care, People and Marketing teams - Collaborative partners - Caring leadership team - people growing and learning along with their teams - Family-first mentality, starting with CEO - Happy clients and members

Cons

- Open floor space makes it difficult to balance noise sometimes - Typical start-up growth where teams change and people leave - some people feel sad and readjust, but others stay angry and start attacking. Need better ways to help people accept and deal with changes. - No decent onsite lunch options

We’re glad that you noted our fun group activities -- the teams have worked hard to bring the start-up spirit into our employees’ homes as we’re working from home. One of my favorite internal traditions is highlighting an employee at the monthly hands-on and learning from one of their colleagues why that employee embodies the Onduo values of Curiosity, Grit, Courage, Focus and Empathy!
