      Interesting work, but poor leadership and micromanagement

      small business company with interesting work, pay is good

      Cons

      The company is underdeveloped from an organizational and leadership standpoint. Decision-making is centralized to an unhealthy degree, resulting in micromanagement, unclear expectations, and a lack of trust in experienced professionals. The environment is not collaborative, which creates unnecessary tension and undermines morale. Basic people-management practices are lacking, including structured communication, feedback, and HR involvement. Terminations and major decisions are handled abruptly and without appropriate process, contributing to a culture that feels unstable and unprofessional. Overall, this is a difficult environment for anyone who values autonomy, clear expectations, and respectful workplace norms.

      Strong technical talent; lack of leadership

      Cons

      Business development (BD) and back office functions require reorganization and establishment of clear roles, responsibilities, priorities, and processes. The BD Manager position was very poorly defined and the role/responsibilities subsequently changed three times in the first 10 days of employment. Also, the other BD team members were not informed that I was joining the company until my first day - a very awkward team lunch that clearly demonstrated the lack of professionalism and inability of OneGlobe leadership to communicate effectively.

The individual who posted it was employed with OneGlobe for less than one month, yet their review states an employment duration of more than one year and references events spanning 18 months—which is not accurate. Additionally, upon their departure, this individual requested compensation through the end of the year and indicated that there would be ‘consequences’ if the request was not met. While we understand that transitions can be challenging, we believe reviews should provide fair, honest, and constructive feedback rather than be used as a means of retaliation.       Management listens and rewards effort

      I've been at OneGlobe for about a year and I am very happy working here. I work with some very talented people and the work is rewarding. OneGlobe offers generous opportunities for professional growth, competitive salaries, great benefits package, telework flexibility (depending on the project), and frequent social events. Management is available and open to feedback. If you put in the effort here, you will be recognized and rewarded.

      Cons

      I'll echo the other reviewer who mentioned growing pains. OneGlobe grew quickly, and it took a while for some of the company policies and practices to catch up with that growth. However, I can honestly say that management is listening and has taken steps to address any concerns I've had about this.
