Pros

Excellent training, good internal jobs, and office layout is first class

Cons

One or two colleagues who managed to get in the door are trying to spoil things. Like in most companies change is inevitable and can have both _ve and +ve impact, however you need to crack a few eggs to make an omelette.

A great opportunity, but favoritism plays a role in being able to excel.

Pros

Great open environment to connect with your peers. Work/life balance is good. Fun environment to work in. Company is growing and could be a great opportunity to grow with the company and the changes. Opportunity to learn many new skill sets.

Cons

Changes are made on a constant bases with little to no training or understanding on why the process is changing. Processes are put into place without getting input directly from the employees who are doing the work on how these processes could be improved. Leadership tends to not promote within and excel their employees to be able to move into another role. There is little recognition for the hard work you do while mediocre work is recognized (Favoritism). There is very little accountability. If you have an idea it is rarely heard.

Pros

Competitive pay and benefits I really like my team Opportunities to innovate and find/solve problems Senior Leadership listens (surveys, town halls) and shares objectives Fun activities (food days, volunteer things) Career Opportunities It feels really good to work for a company that stands up for its values, and holds everyone accountable.

Cons

As the company is going more 'corporate', there is a lot of change and more structure - this is needed, but kind of unsettling and causing some concerns. Some managers are 'green' and as they're learning to manage, its a little bumpy. Also, there is a lot of work to be done and not a lot of training - its learning as you go.

Great Place to Work

Pros

I enjoy working at OSV because most of the employees are knowledgeable and team players, and in my department we have flexibility to work from home two days per week. Over the past several years there has been a lot of change in Executives which I was apprehensive about, but I think it was an improvement! There is now a lot more transparency in what the company is doing and what is going well or badly. Monthly employee service anniversary celebrations mean treats and socializing for everyone, not just those with anniversaries, which is nice. Popcorn Wednesdays are a fun way to have a few minutes away from your desk, socialize with employees from other areas while getting a nice snack! The on-boarding process was easy and the 'Our Story of Values' training class was engaging. I feel the company is always trying to improve, of course this will come with varying degrees of success but I like to see the effort. Overall, I really enjoy working here and would recommend it to friends. The "new" (about 3 years old now) building is terrific, nice open space, lots of light, big covered parking garage.

Cons

Some managers do not care about the company performance, or the well being of their employees, and may issue unrealistic performance goals. In some departments it may be difficult to obtain raises or to utilize your time off. The building maintenance has gone downhill over the past couple of years and see little dings in the paint, break rooms often pretty dirty despite having a cleaning crew. Not sure that is super reflective of OSV, although perhaps there is someone who could improve the way Cypress Waters management treats the building. The open concept work space does make it difficult when several people in the same department have customer phone calls at the same time, but is nice for collaboration. Would be nice if we could get some noise cancellation technology to minimize the amount of noise generated when many people are talking at once. Although one of the values is "we are a team" I still feel that some departments are very silo-ed and communication effort really depends on who in each department you are speaking to.

Pros

Workday is an awesome technology and OSV supports WD and training needed for certifications.

Cons

Excessive work hours. No backup resources available so time off is very difficult. Not uncommon to be assigned to 5+ projects. Difficult to keep clients happy which results in high stress. Turnover is extremely high which makes it difficult to deliver consistently.

Pros

Diverse workforce, casual dress, work from home days (depending on department), salaried pay (depending on department), bountiful catered events, plenty of parking space, ease of entry, friendly co-workers, modern decor

Cons

Rampant nepotism Horrible on the job training program Poor wages in comparison to other companies Poor company outlook Bigoted management (Certain coworkers have noted that inexperienced colleagues are often promoted ahead of them) No opportunities for advancement Inept management Suspicious activity (occasionally something questionable would take place. When the people you're supposed to report these activities to are the ones that carry them out, what do you do?) If you're reading this in anticipation of applying for a Tax or Payroll position, be especially cautious. The workflow is absurd. Sloppy practices overall. That extends to promotions, upper management, business flow, company direction, and all major corporate functions. If you NEED a job, by all means apply. As of now, this isn't a company you should build a life around. Take as much as you can and move on.

Pros

I tell people it's like the Wild West. We're growing fast and innovating in so many areas - hold on to your hat and get your hands dirty. I've grown so much in my role with the support (and freedom) of my team and leadership. From my experience, if you want to try something new, just go for it. Being a self-starter will take you far at OSV. There is ALWAYS something new to learn in our industry, which keeps things interesting. Other highlights: • Excellent training and access to tools • Mentorship opportunities with senior leadership • Bi-monthly Women at Work group • Competitive benefits • Great/fun culture (shoutout to Kelli B. for her efforts around this!) If you want to grow and be surrounded by some incredible talent, come work at OSV.

Cons

Sometimes my favorite Nespresso flavor runs out. Did I mention it was free? And glorious?

Pros

Nice PTO ( if you are allowed to take it) and health benefits

Cons

This is the epitome of a fear based workplace. Look it up and OSV hits every mark. The 10 Values are a joke. A total sham. They talk about them and everyone has them posted in their cubicle but they are not practiced. The managers rule and micromanage to the extreme. Don’t even think of forward thinking, OSV is not proactive, if you do, you will be put down – only reactive. Being good at your job will not get you a promotion – being friends with the right people will. The company belittles and criticizes employees constantly. There is zero training and don’t ask questions – it only gets you in trouble. They emphasize teamwork but helping new employees is frowned upon. At one time this place was great and I looked forward to coming in sadly, it is no longer a good place to work.

I love working at OSV!

Pros

After having mediocre experiences at some of the big consulting firms for the first 10 years of my career with little career growth, I can truly say that I love working at OSV. I truly enjoy my coworkers and managers and consider them like family. OSV has invested in my career and helped me get several workday certifications through training and mentoring, in addition to being promoted after my first two years based on my high performance. There is plenty of work to go around so you can get very busy sometimes, but that is the nature of the business and a good problem to have. To OSV's credit, the bonus plans in Professional Services reward you well for your contributions and performance. I have never worked at such a great place before, and even though I continue to receive interest from competitors, I have never considered going anywhere else. I plan to stay and grow in my career here for a long time.

Cons

The employer match on the 401(k) plan is only 25%, and I would like to see this increased to 50% to match the industry standard.
