Pros

Competitive Salary, In right segment of market ie EIM

Cons

Software Asset Stripping company, growth based on acquisition not good selling Sales Management lack vision and innovation. Management serve upline not downline Quarterly driven business, no room for innovative visionary sales leadership Old school old boys network, Like IBM a place for has been sales managers go to die. If your happy with being micromanaged to quarterly targets with little support from management but the D word ie discount to make their 1/4/y targets and being left high and dry for the next qrt then your survive perhaps

Pros

OpenText supposedly has a competitive compensation plan for its consultants. OpenText gives a number of paid holidays that increase over time.

Cons

Con 1: Even though they tell us we are entitled our vacation and should take it, it's against you to take it because it will negatively impact your utilization credit and therefore your bonus for the quarter. Therefore, vacation is more like borrowed time; if you take vacation you either make it up or lose potential bonus money. Con 2: No work/life balance. As a consultant you will be asked to work countless weekends and late nights. Many times it will be free work as the work you will do is not billable and won't go towards your compensation plan. Con 3: No recognition for work. No information passed down to employees about what goes on around the company. Even layoffs are kept secret and employees and even managers have to ask to see who is still around. Con 4: Not a great 401k plan. Con 5: This company puts more focus in acquiring other businesses rather than improving their own products.
