Megalomaniac at the helm

Pros

Learning a lot about how NOT to run a business

Cons

CEO is a megalomaniac and a micromanager. He recently used a major acquisition as justification to can his President, claiming a "streamlined" organization. How does adding to your company portfolio and employee base mean you need a smaller leadership team? He just couldn't stand not having all the power to himself. He is also incapable of generating organic growth; only knows how to grow by acquisition. In other words, he doesn't know how to sell anything, only buy. Knows nothing about Cloud business, outside of hosted software. Listening to him speak incorrectly about Cloud is a giveaway.

Another reorganization ... do more and more with less and less

Pros

Paid week off holiday from Christmas Day through New Years Day… and flexibility to work from home occasionally, after that, not too much else

Cons

With another recent reorganization (this is my 4th reorganization and 5th manager in 3 years) and downsizing of more staff, the management continually puts more and more workload on less and less employees. Most of the time you can’t keep up with the workload because there are no resources to delegate the responsibilities to for help so you put in extra hours (unpaid) just to try to keep your head above water. Seems like there are always hiring freezes and salary increases are tiny, if any.
