Pros

On the positive side, when our small company got purchased, we did get salary increases (which was good because prior to being purchases we hadn't had any raises in two years).

Cons

Even if you're currently using state-of-the-art technology, you will be converted to mid 1990's software. While they talk about 'the cloud', you quickly find out they actually don't know what that means. Be prepared to spend as much as half your day in new meetings. Suddenly your mandatory meeting is more important than actually doing your tasks. Also - they are adamant that you not 'work from home'. They want you in the office even if your other team members are located in other offices. When you get absorbed if you were working from home, you won't be any more.

Pros

Large installed customer base and broad product portfolio.

Cons

Management is trying to cheat the field organization. For license deals larger than $2m you only get reduced commission rates. Also the incentive plans is not aligned with what the company is trying to achieve. For cloud deals only 50% of the deal amount is recognized, what a funny thing!

Pros

Decent people to work with if they all didn't quit.

Cons

Chaos on multiple levels from the top down. Most employees are just waiting to find something better or make it to retirement to get away from the daily disaster of incompetent management. Makes you wonder who is in charge when the utility bills don't get paid. Don't expect more than a 1% annual increase in pay year over year...truly pathetic and insulting. I have watched many good people quit for little or no incentive to stay...just waiting for my opportunity to get out.
