Pros

I joined Optimal Blue 1 year ago and so far so good. The company has a very entrepreneurial culture and everyone is made to feel like they are a part of something big. There are very high expectations and everyone is held accountable for their role in meeting those expectations. The company does a good job of communicating with employees and continues to promote an environment that makes for a fun, inclusive atmosphere. The bi-weekly chair massages and weekly catered department lunches aren't too bad either!

Cons

With such explosive growth come the inherent pains, but nothing that can't b e overcome by a lot if teamwork and a little tolerance. There's a little tension between some of the legacy folks and the new people that have come on board...but that is to be expected.

Pros

Nice perks (free soda, massages, free lunch once a week) Most people were generally friendly

Cons

If most of the negative reviews seem to be from Appleton, it's because management clearly showed that they did not value the employees in the Appleton location. There is obvious favoritism. The technology team and management are not open suggestions for improvement or other perspectives and will either completely ignore it or actually tell people to stop giving feedback (!). The culture is very cliquey and unless you are willing to suck up, your suggestions for improvement will not be taken seriously. Communication between the two locations is very poor and it can take an unreasonable amount of time to get an answer to a simple question. This is compounded by the fact that nobody really seem to know what parts of the system are supposed to be doing.
