Pros

None - Do not work here. The company is about to go down because of egos.

Cons

This company is a great example of how messed up a company can get. The management team without any pharmacy knowledge is running the pharmacy business. The now CEO and CFO both are absolutely insane, berating, and treat all employees like they are unintelligent, when they themselves do not have any business kills, leadership skills nor innovative ideas on how to problem solve and grow the business. Instead they lie about how great Optio Rx is like everyone around them is stupid and do not understand what they are doing. It has had 2 top management team changes in 3 to 4 years because good honest people will not work here for too long. Unfortunately, all the smart, good people who would do things the right way have left the company in the last 6 months. Do not ruin your career or mental sanity by joining these clowns no matter how much money they are throwing at you. It is temporary way for them to get talent in because they can't keep anyone here. I am SURE you can get a better job flipping burgers at your local mcdonald than to join this company! Don't be a sucker and go after money alone when you evaluate a job offer, at least for this company!

Optio Rx is going down the drain

Pros

Can’t think of any pros to list here. There are none!

Cons

1. Unstable CFO and unqualified new CEO that has zero knowledge on healthcare, safety, compliance, patient privacy and overall pharmacy (what would you expect with having a non-pharmacist run a pharmacy company) 2. The CFO is rude, bullish, and quite frankly, neurotic by how he speaks with people, constantly yells and berates his team publicly, has a very difficult time accepting accountability and responsibility of his teams performance (as a department lead, you’d think this executive would have the emotional intelligence to actually perform like an executive but no. Everything and every finance mistake and error is always someone else’s fault, even when they keep happening). Also doesn’t have a problem talking smack about anyone and everyone. This guy is a loose canon.

Pros

Affordable medical and dental benefits

Cons

Constant changes but no progress. Continue to lose money. Now declared bankruptcy. Which is weird with the amount of funding they are constantly given. Hard work is never rewarded. Promotions and raises are based off nepotism. I would be surprised if they’re still around in 1-2 years.
