Pros

Working remote and set schedule

Cons

Have to be on camera & chat responses are questioned for time. I didn't like stopping in the middle of working to chat just because the system issues and you want to see if I'm working.

Pros

maybe-free labcoats, pens and PPE

Cons

no work life balance now weekend work required. No raises. bonus structure now changed to annual-will get killed in taxes Health insurance is some of the worst ever- you work for united health, that's insurance and its so expensive with terrible coverage Optum NP job is a prison without walls Managers are crazy, bonus structure is completely out of reach Rules change daily. Work is constantly added. Optum bullies their way into nursing homes, expects the home to abide by the Optum rules then penalizes the NP if the nursing home doesn't abide with the rules The chain of command is sooo top heavy. Constantly barking orders, changing the rule and playing favorites. Extensive commute times, more and more work expectations. Only way to succeed is to lie about the work.

Pros

There's always work to do. Good job security because they constantly need admins.

Cons

Unrealistic expectations. They stress "communication", however, YOUR concerns aren't ever addressed. There are constant 1 on 1 meetings, but these meetings lean toward micro management. Everyone has a full load of work, so complaining seems pointless. There is not a set "blue chip" list of tasks you're supposed to do, so your hand ends up in every pot. There were two people for my position, however, once the employee resigned, there was never a replacement. They've added work & lowered the pay grade, although the pay is still the same. There are constant changes and it's assumed that everyone should know and learn everything within the one meeting about it. Too much pressure to "participate" in simple, redundant "team exercises".
