Toxic culture with high turnover and poor leadership

Pros

HR people are nice. But they are the only ones leaving good reviews here!

Cons

Everything else! This place is a revolving door. Almost everyone hates working there, but they do because they have few options. Don't waste your time. The culture is toxic and it comes from the top. The owner is pompous and arrogant. Seriously, there are much better places to work. Read the reviews here (Not the ones from HR, LOL!) and save yourself a big headache. And benefits are terrible!

We’re sorry to hear that your experience at Ore was not a positive one. We appreciate your positive comment about HR, but we recognize that a strong workplace depends on leadership, communication, accountability, and trust across the entire company. Ore is actively working to strengthen those areas and improve the overall employee experience. To that point, Ore takes concerns about culture, leadership, turnover, benefits, and employee experience seriously. While we can't speak to every detail in an anonymous review, we do use this feedback to better understand where employees may feel unsupported and where we need to improve. And then we get to work making those improvements. So thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate the time you spent with Ore and wish you the best moving forward.

Thank you for the review and for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear your overall experience with Ore was positive and that you found the opportunity valuable for gaining industry experience. It’s true that Ore’s busy seasons and continued company growth can sometime require us to schedule overtime, and we do our best to use overtime as sparingly as possible. When overtime is needed, we provide advance notice, avoid weekend work, and maintain our standard Monday–Thursday schedule, with Fridays used only as needed. This is because we feel strongly that weekends should be reserved for our employees. We appreciate the extra effort our employees contribute during high-demand periods, and we continue to look for ways to better balance business needs with employee well-being. Thank you again for your time with Ore Designs. We appreciate your feedback and wish you the best in your future career.

Pros

-Every interaction with coworkers, supervisors, and managers has been positive and helpful -It's awesome to see what you've designed using CAD being fabricated -When it comes to design, there's a good mix of adhering to industry standards and designing based off your preference and style

Cons

-Schedule is advertised as 4/10's, but whenever demands need to be met, it turns into 5/10's.

We’re glad to hear that your experience with coworkers, supervisors, and managers has been positive and helpful. Seeing your CAD work move from design into fabrication is something we love just as much as you do. That connection between design and finished product is one of the things that makes Ore a unique and rewarding place to work and learn. We also appreciate your honest feedback regarding the schedule. Our standard schedule is built around four 10-hour days, and we understand that additional Friday work can be difficult when production demands increase. While overtime is sometimes necessary during busy periods, we schedule it thoughtfully and sparingly, and do our best to avoid making it the norm. We’re continuing to evaluate how we plan workload, staffing, and project timelines so we can better balance customer needs with employee well-being. Thank you again for your feedback and for the work you contribute to Ore Designs.
