Pros

- Competitive salary, that's it

Cons

- Inexperienced leadership and there are many layers of these. - A house of cards environment where the best at politics succeed. Backstabbing is encouraged by your manager. - High attrition, makes it hard to operate predictably. - Certain managers lack integrity, they will straight out lie to you and take their words back. - Everyone is pushed so hard here, huge levels of stress make interactions toxic. - Overall a toxic place to work, trust me, no money is worth the mental pain you will go through. - Options are worthless, don't let them tell you the opposite, it is a lie. There's potential in the market, but this company doesn't have the leadership needed to "bring it home". Given all of this, the company is unable to operate at its maximum performance and even having a great market opportunity, competitors are getting closer every day. Since this company isn't able to operate functionally, and 4/5 folks I've talked to want out, I foresee a dark future, the ship is sinking and noone will be able to stop this.

Pros

- Overall good company culture - Talented people - Solid foundation for the business - Rhythm and well-structured quarterly OKR planning - Compensation is reasonably good especially when the stock option price was high

Cons

- Engineering senior leadership didn't manage to encourage critical feedback. People don't dare to challenge key strategies such as monolith decomposition which took too long and was not pragmatically planned. - Engineering senior leadership didn't manage to develop significant product capabilities to help Outreach maintain market competitiveness. - The market is tough and very competitive - Outreach is struggling to maintain its leadership and now every competitor is aiming to be all-in-one platform.

Pros

- Great work life balance - Sharp coworkers - Potential for interesting products - You generally only have to interact with the terrible execs once or twice a quarter - Pretty competitive base pay, but your RSUs are funny money

Cons

- Executive leadership is lost and mad about it - Engineering drives development, not actual customer needs - How many people are on certain teams doesn't reflect the value those teams bring to the organization - Inappropriate behavior (public berating, cursing) from some leaders - No top-down communication on how we are doing as a company - RIFs without strong justification - Merit increases paused - Backfilling hard to get - They claim to still do promotions but are doing far, far fewer than they should. People are stuck without growth, partially by not having the right projects to move the needle and partially due to lack of upward mobility. - L4 requirements are extreme - Engineering interview is horrible and screens out great engineers
