Many talented and friendly people at the ground level.

Cons

Management is short sited, rude, inconsiterate and seriously lack the abilty to lead. Poor communication. Chaos all time. Many many customers unhappy and will never do business with Oxford. Real shame. By the time their board realizes where the true problem is and replaces leadership, so many will have been hurt, alienated and gone

Pros

The company has good processes in place but not so many as to be overly cumbersome. The technology/products are exciting and management allows a fair amount of independence in executing to targets. The company is small enough that one individual can still make a large impact, great if you need your contributions to have real meaning. It is large enough that there is room for career growth and upward mobility for those who desire it.

Cons

As a US-based arm of Oxford Instruments, there are the typical challenges associated with the company headquarters and in some cases your direct supervisor located half a world away. Oxford has invested in modern technology to close the gap, although the communications will never fully reach the same level as when all are working from the same site.

Steady job, good people on a personal and professional level,

Cons

Management, materials logistics, high stress and low pay. The people are generally friendly but management comes from big companies and has a long way towards adapting to a small company. They don't realize people perform multiple job functions and don't have any plan for that.
