A Wasteland

Pros

The people who do the day to day work are the ones who should be rewarded because they are trying their best with a crappy system

Cons

I have never seen a more poorly ran company than this one. They really try to sell you on “family” company. Their business models are old, an erp system that is ancient, and their CEO is out of touch. He set up a bunch of branches, hired people with no industry experience, fired them, and then sent out a quarterly report saying how decisions had to be made and we are not meeting our goals. You call that a competent leader? Sell the company. Senior leaders need a reality check. They off no support for new hires.

Pros

Very nice people. Director of my department and other bosses/ managers are amazing and super nice. They make you feel like they care about you. All coworkers are super nice and helpful, willing to help you with any question you have. The system this company uses is old but makes sense once you get the hang of it. Cannot emphasize this enough_ great people

Cons

The CEO is a greedy and out of touch person. He is quite old so his ideas of how a company should be run in 2022 are quite old as well. Here is a list of all the things he has done over the past 2 years in the response to Covid: - Fired people - Furloughed people only to higher them back as lower ranking/paying positions with no opportunity to move back up to their previous positions - Forced people to use five days of PTO and have them work DURING it - Cancelled all company events (even the Christmas party in 2021 when Covid is much more manageable) - Work from home is very limited. We can only work from home 2 days a week and you cannot choose when those are - removed flex hours - Unmatched 401k (this has been rematched now) - Forced an employee who is Covid positive to come into work - The company is in the best position it has ever been in yet pay is mediocre at best and there are very little to no benefits - Implemented a backwards Covid policy so that if you catch Covid you are forced to burn 5 PTO days to quarantine. They don't offer you the option to work from home that week even though everyone's job can be done just fine at home. This incentivizes people to hide if they have Covid and come into work anyway and get people sick instead of burning their PTO days The CEO has done this all while joking about finally buying a private jet on a meeting with every single US employee listening in. Talk about out of touch. The CEO has used the New Year as a time to fire many high ranking C-Suite employees so he can enact his immoral policies with no pushback. He needs to retire soon or I see a lot of long-time employees leaving. I hear talks about when the company used to be a fun and family-oriented place to work. I hope that returns soon but do not see that to be likely.
