Pros

None, very poorly run company.

Cons

PFP acted like they were offering a higher salary than they did, only 30K to start. Commission structure is very low and hard to obtain. You will be asked to drive a lot of miles in your territory and they do not reimburse you for gas at all, the wear and tear plus all the miles and gas don't even make the job worth it. You will be bugging credit union members all day for low grade insurance products nobody wants. The job is the same as those annoying solicitors at the mall or airport who peddle credit cards or cell phones.

Pros

Great pay (base salary in insurance industry is great). Good products that are easy to believe in. Insurance sale process made simple. All-expense paid training.

Cons

I was very misled in my interview; I'm not sure if that was their intention or not. I took the job because it would be LOCAL, and wound up having to travel over an hour and a half several times a week. I put 10,000 miles on my car in 5 months. There was very limited opportunity for sales in the area I was hired for. I rarely had any type of feedback or correspondence whatsoever with my supervisor. I liked my supervisor; but overall I would say there is VERY poor leadership. This caused very poor morale for me and made it even more difficult to do the job. Training ends in Connecticut. You either make it or you don't. In order to make sales with this company you have to be extremely pushy with people.

Cons

Management makes empty promises, has obvious favorites, and does not communicate effectively NO ONE wants to do their job high turnover too many relatives working together-this one is that one's brother in law, that one is engaged to this one's cousin, etc etc
