Pros

Work with incredible people who work hard and care deeply - Industry knowledge - Big name clients - Parties and swag, but that is used to hide the issues with compensation relative to workload

Cons

Growing too fast - No salary transparency internally or externally - Expectation to work long hours to meet minimum job requirements and even longer hours to get a raise or promotion - Micromanagement from top leaves mid level managers with no ability to make decisions or lead their teams - DEI is talked about and measured by what the company looks like in a picture not true inclusion - Promotions chances are dangled like carrots but after your first 1-2 years the chances of promotion are slim - Company no longer lives the values shared on the website - Information is treated as a secret and source of power - CEO does not want to listen to constructive feedback and gets emotional when presented with it, resulting in him surrounding himself only with a team of 'yes' men and women and dismissing suggestions to make the changes PMG should be making in response to clear feedback that employees are unhappy - Reviews are trending down over the past year and executives minimize it by saying it is only a small minority, painting any employee who does speak up as disgruntled, difficult, rocking the boat, and lacking professionalism

Pros

-Good swag -Some remnants of the "good-ole" PMG days from years past -Great co-workers -Alli is a cool, competitive advantage

Cons

-No flexibility to work from home or remotely, even when you have extenuating circumstances (car breaks down, sick kids, funeral, client travel). They literally track the days you are in office by your wifi connects & key card scan in and if you miss one day, you are flagged by leadership and it effects your performance review. -Performance reviews are now a sham of a process where, on the surface, your rating is crowd sourced from 360 peer feedback, a quantitative assessment against your goals, and, ultimately, your managers final assessment. But, in reality, these then go through a "calibration" process by HR in which they get to shoot down and change any final score or promotion they want for any reason, despite never working with the employees or actually having any idea of what they do on a day-in day-out basis. -Veil of "feedback" culture that you'll see referred to in the responses from the company here. Yes, we have the option to submit feedback. Is it ever actioned on? No. The response is always "let's talk more" but then the answer is we have to make these changes for the better of the company as a whole. Also the 85% eNPS they mentioned is outdated and doesn't take into account the 50% of employees who don't even submit feedback because they are so burnt out to care anymore. -Reaching an unsustainable point in their business where a lot of people are quitting while teams still need backfills for new biz or previous turnover, creating a ton of strain on teams to maintain their current workload plus constantly having to train new team members -They also solely rely on the GLP program to staff junior level positions. While it is a great program and they've had a lot of success stories, because of everyone being overworked and strapped for training time, the quality has gone down significantly within the past 2 years. So mid-level people never get any relief because they are in between being told "you have to wait for the GLP to come on" and then having to spend all their time training that GLP to be able to start taking work from them.

Pros

- During the first 6 months it seems great. - Benefits are great (perhaps because pay isn't) - Gifts, parties, and trips are cute and cool - You don't have to track your hours like other agencies

Cons

- Managers don't know what their employees are paid. As a result, there was a $10K pay gap between myself and someone in the exact same role with comparable experience. - Men in leadership do not value women. I was often pushed aside or not treated with respect due to my gender. - You will be expected to meet client deadlines regardless of your personal life and work hours. - Your training probably won't be thorough and managers aren't kept accountable to stick to training plans or even schedule regular 1:1s with their employees. My manager went months maintaining 1:1s with their other employees but not with me. - Leadership is so concerned about new business that pitches will be prioritized at the detriment of other projects and employees. - Verbally, the company cares about mental health. In action...they don't staff teams well enough and it's up to the employee to save enough PTO for use in case of sick days. (no work-life balance) - You will be expected to be available 9am-6pm, regardless of whether you'd rather skip lunch hour or work earlier. - Tools across the company are inconsistent. Project management is scattered and confusing.
