Cons

This is a company that will tell you employees are like family, but put money above your wellbeing every single time. You will be taught that turnaround time is everything and quality is important as long as it isn’t slowing things down. They will turn a blind eye to blatant ethical violations, but quickly discipline up to termination for honest mistakes. In my time there I saw many employees with 10+ years of experience let go for cost saving measures, personal grudges, or just because management’s buddy needed your job. There is no loyalty for your years of service. Be warned. You are just a warm body used to line the CEOs pockets.

Pros

I have worked at a lot of different places over my time. When it was time to change, I came to work for POLARIS Laboratories. This company has been a breath of fresh air from all the past toxic places I have worked for. Some reviews may say not so nice things about the company, but coming from someone who has worked for some really BAD companies (including one where EVERYONE regretted accepting a job there and could not get out fast enough), POLARIS Laboratories definitely tries their best. Is any company perfect, no. However, POLARIS Laboratories does try their best to fix mistakes and actively work on making things better. Their continuous improvement program for example is one where anyone, regardless of how long they have been at the company or what position they are, can suggest an idea on how to make things better and is taken seriously. They also actively work to promote from within. Management works hard to help make things better, particularly when it comes to the company culture. While not everyone in the company may see Management on a daily basis, those that do or are aware of them, can tell that they work just as hard (sometimes even more) as the everyone else in the company. They actively try to find ways to bring a little fun and happiness to the workplace. Whether that be various company events, monthly meals or the company reward program (POLARIS Dollars, Employee of the Quarter and Employee of the Year), there is definitely ways to find a benefit to working for POLARIS Laboratories.

Cons

It is a growing company, so patience and understanding may be needed. While growing pains can happen, the long term benefits outweigh those pains.
