Pros
I can't really think of anything positive about working at polaris. I guess the on site gym and free soda machine.
Cons
The main problem is that management and the CEO in particular doesn't care about his employees. The pay is an absolute spit in the face to the workforce. $10 is not a living wage and is well below what other labs in the area are paying. They claim to be about science but all they care about is unrealistic turnaround time. Raises are non existent and promotions don't happen. Good workers quit regularly because of low pay. They claim there is a level system and a path to more money but we have been waiting since January for that to be implemented. They get a new building with 10 70" flatscreens but won't give a $.50 raise. The are quite possibly the cheapest company I've ever been apart of. Background checks are bare minimum. They hired a guy that was in prison for 27 years for 3 counts of attempted murder on his own family. I don't think they even drug test anymore. I failed my mouth swab on the spot and they hired me anyway. The customer believes they are getting there samples analyzed by scientists in white lab coats, when in actuality they send there samples to Walmart.
