Should be an awesome job....but everyone used to work at SW and they just bring their bad SW habits over.

Good work hours at first.....Sundays off....usually weekends off.

Cons

Ignorant management ....sales reps are paid on volume and not profit contribution....it will destroy your small bonus check. Management asks for things that you can't do because you just don't have the ended tools.

Pros

There are really no Pro's to working at PPG because I was only with them for a very short time. This was due to they purchased the company I was with and closed my location.

Cons

Even though I was given a severance package PPG did not follow any of the requirements set forth within the package. The payment was 7 days late and they said payroll had the final say. That was not stated in the signed agreement. They fought me for unemployment benefits after laying me off. They was very little respect from the zone manager, he basically threw me out of the building on my last day. Absolutely zero support from HR and local management.

Cons

No five year plan here. Goals are narrowly defined by this month, this quarter, this year. We can out perform the paint group which is doing so great, but still looked as a failure.
