Pros

Co-workers are super friendly. Patients are friendly and ever grateful. Therapists genuinely care about helping the patients get better and use breaking evidence to do so. Easy company to interview with and get your foot into a healthcare setting.

Cons

Little to no opportunity for a raise or growth. There were multiple promises of opportunities to grow with the company but were always false promises. The company simply undervalues its employees from senior management down to aides. You will be handed the responsibilities of 3 people, but get paid hardly enough to support yourself let alone a family. Little to no support from management.

Pros

Varied Patient Populations. Medical Assisting experience. Good opportunity for clinical experience.

Cons

Salaried working 50-60 hr/wk. Whenever I complained about being forced to work over, I was told to manage my time better or take an unpaid lunch hour. Beholden to client demands, poor employment boundaries: once I was trained, I was given more and more responsibility outside of my job description. Client satisfaction is valued more than the employee: whenever I had an issue with my client, management was more afraid of upsetting their potential referral source, so nothing was ever addressed. The onus was always on me to fix problems outside of my control. No incentive structure and noncompetitive wages: they will offer you 35k regardless of your education or level of experience. Very little "athletic training" work: Infrequent hands-on experience. Mostly scut for physician you're working with. I couldn't tell you about the benefits because I was terrified to take a single day off of work or go to a dr. appointment and miss time. Very little diversity, especially being in the Atlanta area.

Pros

I am able to see patients and get paid for what I do.

Cons

The focus is on making money rather than doing what is best for the patient. I would rather make less money and be able to focus on what is best for the patient while maintaining my integrity.
