Pros

Flexibility, they are big and there are a lot of sites and programs (that could be both a good and bad thing depending on how it is used or abused)

Cons

Churn and burn mentality, staff are overworked. Bureaucratic, top down approach- policies are without regard to line staff and the actual work being done. For upper management it is about power and control and less about the clients and the staff which is why they are out of touch with what is going on and their true purpose as a nonprofit. If you work here, prepare to get dumped on a lot of work. Management likes to delegate and stack workloads without caring about what is already on your plate or how to help you out. Since I worked there i never once heard people talking about the mission and vision...besides, when you read the mission and vision it is hard to understand anyways. Now that I am at a different DMH facility, I realize how out of touch Pacific Clinics is in compliance and in proving quality mental health services and how much easier it is to be a therapist and caseworker somewhere else, and, actually feel appreciated and where my opinions actually matter. It is one of the last organizations that do the triannual assessments. All across the board they have no care about creating more work for line staff. Staff are overworked and burned out, all for lower wages than other providers. Pacific clinics is notorious for turnover and people not staying long and the management have this take-it-or-leave-it, too big to fail attitude. If you want to work harder and focus on making more money for the agency and continuing it growth, without direct correlation of how this best serves the clients, this is the place for you. If you got into this work to focus on helping people, look elsewhere...right now, that is not this company's primary focus.

Pros

Absolutely nothing positive to say!

They practice hiring friends and family in the same department. Very unorganized and clickish!
