Pros

Great co-workers, numerous trainings available to employees, some room for growth, great "stepping stone" towards your career. The company does have decent benefits and 14 holidays.

Cons

Very disorganized! The many divisions of Pacific Clinics seem to have no communication with one another. The organization seems to hold two priorities: expanding and billing. For a non-profit, it is run very similarly to a corporation. I have witnessed the some departments take on new projects without having adequate staff. The employees are extremely over worked and underpaid. The organization has an extremely visible hierarchy which can sometimes feel uncomfortable. Expect to sit in on staff meetings while watching recorded videos of the CEO speaking to the organization. With the changes in health care approaching, the entire organization is in a frenzy. The work never seems to be centered on the client. Billing takes priority over the car of the clients. This is not the fault of the employees, the have to meet at least 5 billable hours per day. Not meeting this could lead to termination or write-ups.

Pros

I have nothing nice or positive to say about my time here

Cons

Ethical & Billing Issues Severe Ethical Compromises: There is a pervasive culture that pressures clinicians to engage in unethical and potentially illegal billing practices (e.g., Medi-Cal fraud). This includes coercion to document services that were never rendered (non-existent notes, phantom phone calls). Compromised Integrity: Clinicians are consistently forced to choose between maintaining their professional licensure and ethical code or meeting unrealistic and improper administrative demands. Management & HR Environment Unethical/Illegal Operations: Management and Administration appear to operate outside of professional ethical guidelines and potentially in violation of legal standards regarding documentation and patient care. Hostile HR Response: Human Resources is not a neutral party. Attempts to report ethical violations or seek support are met with bullying, intimidation, and direct threats of disciplinary action, regardless of cause. This creates a deeply toxic and retaliatory work environment. Work-Life Balance & Culture Toxic Culture: The overall culture is one of fear and pressure, where upholding ethical standards is penalized. This makes the environment unsustainable for long-term practice. High Burnout Risk: The combination of intense workload pressure and the stress of continuous ethical conflict leads to a very high risk of burnout.

Pros

The only pro I can think of is the schedule. Other than that there is absolutely nothing else!

Cons

I will start by saying this is by far the WORST company and experience I have ever had in my professional journey. The company itself is okay, I had no issues on a corporate level. However, management is unprofessional, rude, bipolar and is not concerned with employee retention. There is bullying, gossiping, favoritism and harassment from management and no action is ever taken to protect employees. This is why they get away with doing anything and everything to staff! Aside from the toxic environment, there is no professionalism displayed by management. You will always encounter a problem on each and everyday and it has to do with the supervisors moods or feelings on that particular day. If you want to continue your professional development, look elsewhere. You will learn nothing at this site, besides how toxic a workplace can become. The pay is also very low for the amount of work you are expected to perform. Management will treat you like you are in military bootcamp.
