Pros

I can manage 15 employees in my department, we treat each other like our own families. We loved our seniors!

Cons

It is hard to communicate with your supreme BOSS who is located on 1st floor and I'm located on the ground floor. I can't leave anytime I want because I am counted on the floor when there are more seniors than employees (census). Boss is good when you did something good to the company. If you can't bring up your census (admissions) she will point finger and give stink eye. If you leave the company make sure you used all your unpaid vacations. This company will do their best to find a way to not pay you!! Stinky management, they are all fake and backstabbers.

COO and upper management are the worst!

Pros

The pay was decent for the position I had.

Cons

The COO is into micromanagement, and expects you to put in a 12-14 hour work day, EVERY DAY. If you leave after 8 hours she treats you as though you had abandoned your job! She claims that Palolo Chinese Home is "family friendly" for their employees--yet if you need to take a day off to take your child to the doctor or for some other reason concerning your family, you get lots of flack for it! She does not treat everyone equally, and has her favorites. She gossips among her fellow managers about her employees and then smiles and speaks sweetly to them in their faces. I've witnessed this very often, as I was once a part of the management team. She manages the support staff with an iron fist, just like her iron heart--is it any wonder that they have such a high staff turnover rate? Do yourself a favor--think twice before working there!

Pros

CEO is willing to teach. But there's times that she's very pushy on what she wants to be done.

Cons

Raises are very poor, lack of management training available, CEO is in micro management, only cares on other manager who's close or she likes.
