Pros

Most of the residents have been living at Palolo for a long time, so you really get to know them and their family members The Brighton staff that provides occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy were really great to work with

Cons

Pay for RNs start at $22/hr. DON has a habit of prolonging performance reviews and delaying pay raises. RN was responsible for 20-22 residents with inadequate CNA staff for support DON refused to address lack of staffing and would mandate OT overworking staff Morale always low

Pros

Free Parking, cheap lunches, and beautiful campus.

Cons

Management doesn't care about you. All they see is $$$$ with patients. They will overwork you until you quit. There is very low morale and no team spirit. The managers will throw you under the bus without hesitation just to cover themselves. If you speak up about the horrible working conditions they will fire you or make you leave.

Pros

You become really close to the employees you work alongside with. They become your family, along with the residents. They become your motivation for going to work.

Cons

Management was horrible. When you read about the way they bully you, please know it is true. They analyze every little thing you do, make you feel like mistakes are a thing of the past, belittle you, and make you feel anxious to go to work. It's a very toxic environment. No matter the high turn over rate, they still do not change the problem. Most people are scared of the higher management.
