Very low pay

Pros

You can put it on your resume to find a much better job somewhere else.

Cons

The pay is very low and yearly raise is a very low 1%. You are basically stuck at the same entry-level pay as your first day, even after gaining a lot of experience over the years and taking on a lot more responsibilities and work. But health insurance premiums go up much faster, so you are paid less and less every year. Experienced people move on to much better jobs in other companies, and their skills are lost forever.

Burn and churn

Pros

If you are going to lose your house, they hire anyone that has a pulse.

Cons

Long hours, no work-life balance, just work. Not a place for family or career growth. Very low pay. No training. There is a huge education department for new hires that just covers the computer basics. For everything else, you have to figure it out. Outdated computer systems that fails frequently. Expensive health insurance that increases every year, but the coverage goes down. Extremely high turnover. The new 401k policy for 2018 will accumulate the contribution match for the whole year. Then deposit it in the first quarter of next year. The match is only 3% and 20% vests every year starting in year 3. If you leave before the first quarter, the match will not be paid. Even though it is only a 3%x20%=0.6% match, every bit helps because the pay is so low. Leadership lacks skills. They were promoted because there was nobody else. All the good people have left, but they can’t leave because they are no good. They only care about their bonus and will mow you down to get it.

Pros

Nice people. Decent benefits. Day shift. No weekends. Promote from within. Team activities. Quarterly bonus of about 275.00. Updated equipment.

Cons

The main problem with the company is Low Pay. They make millions and pay pennies even for those with experience. You have to use your pto to get paid for holidays. Pay raises are 2% or 3% no matter how great you do.
