Pros

The people and resources were great. At one point in time, I would have considered never leaving and I was very dedicated to the company. They cared about people, success and mentorship and invested in success. I felt I was serving my teams in a positive nature and although they were held accountable, the expectations were reasonable and we talked about work life balance. We worked hard because we loved the company and wanted to perform well.

Cons

Over the past few years with some changes at the corporate level ,the financial services group have become extremely cut throat. Dashboards and rankings mean everything and at all costs. There is no work life balance, we don't serve our teams or their success and it is a very negative and hostile work environment. They have adopted the Amazon philosophy and the leaders they have brought in do not abide by the culture. The staff are overworked and no one cares. It's more, more, more. There is no real problem solving but corporate mandates without resources provided. It has really gone back to the Columbia philosophy of the old days. We don't have good leadership anymore and it'd not about quality it's about gaming a metric so your numbers look good. It's not about really resolving anything. I left the company and was a top performer for many years. I just realized one day that my entire life was consumed with work. Emails all the time, no respect for work /life management and assignments and work on your days off. I never felt I could unplug or even be healthy. The corporate folks have made some serious mistakes in communication and it is unethical how they handle things.

Pros

Good company to get your feet wet in corporate life. You will answer many surveys a year asking you for feedback to enhance your work life. My advise is to work there for up to 2 years to get the job experience then move on, unless you are at management level. Not a lot of room for growth there. You are there as a production drone only. If you are ok with that, you will last. But if you like to use your brain to solve problems, you will fall behind in production and fail. Some people stay to take advantage of the tuition reimbursement for medical studies. I rank the company goals as: 1. patients 2. profits 3. reputation 4 image 5. assets 6. employees. I ranked employees in last place due to the smoke and mirrors treatment. They love and value you, but they just don't show it in the pay scale.

Cons

Starting pay is good but raises are bad at @ 2% or less every year across the board. Corp states that the pay scale is competitive for your state and based upon the over all benefit package. That is true but your cost of living will swallow that and leave you wanting more. They have a high production standard that is unrealistic in most departments The computers and programs are slow and make you want to scream on a daily bases. They have a strict attendance policy and you get penalized when you call in. Your PTo time may seem huge, but you have to use it for sick days, vacation, and the six unpaid holidays.
