Low pay, no gain

Pros

Really can not think of anything good to put here.

Cons

It is just low pay all around. Meager increases every year if you are lucky but no more than 1%. That does not even cover the increase in health insurance premiums, so you basically get a pay cut every year. After working here and gaining experience and exceling, one would think that there would be a promotion or a raise. Nope. No gain after many years so still basically at the same low pay level when first hired. A lot of work dumped on you. People leave or there are changes, so you get more and more work. But don’t expect any pay increases to compensate for your extra work. Work as hard as you want, but you will still have the same beginning, entry level low pay and no gain. That’s why everybody leaves after a short time and get much better pay some where else.

Overworked, underpaid

Pros

There is no shortage of work so the day passes quickly.

Cons

We worked MLK, Super Bowl Sunday, Presidents Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor day, Columbus day, Veterans day, Black Friday, Christmas eve, New Year eve... Worked too many holidays and weekends to remember all of them. I even had to miss my daughter’s graduation because I could not get approval for time off. Totally exhausted. Burned out. Pay does not match the amount of work we’re expected to do, not even close.

Pros

None that I can recall

Cons

Kelly Wilson, the HSC COO, is a mean, vindictive and spiteful person who has no business managing human beings. She lacks insight into how to motivate people and still believes intimidation and threats will encourage managers and directors to work harder. She does not support or encourage advancement of her people, preferring to keep them wholly under her thumb.
