Outstanding atmosphere through the company. The energy is pumped through out the company and it is seen through each and every employee. A place where you feel welcome and enjoy going to work.

Pros

Parts Town has had tremendous growth during my time here and has allowed opportunities for advancement company wide. They provide guidance to those that want to learn and take on additional responsibilities. All team members are rewarded with vacation time, profit sharing and 401K from day one which is highly generous for a new team member. If an employee has an issue with something and addresses with management, they do work to try and improve. This doesn't always happen but you can't always get what you want.

Cons

Due to the rapid growth, the staffing isn't always what it should be. typically we add when we are already hurting. They are strict with beginning of the year budgets but sometimes it would be nice to see some flexibility. The benefits used to be pretty bad but this year a huge effort was put in to make this better and I think employees are truly grateful for it. Also with the growth,

Pros

Relatively young company in a very niche market. Growth and increased market share probably have more to do with weak competition than Parts Town wants to admit, however they do do some things right; embracing and leveraging technology is probably the best example of this. This growth does open some new opportunities for career development. However...

Cons

...the growing pains of such sudden growth include people moved or promoted to positions they are probably under-qualified for; generally speaking most positions across all departments pay below industry average; mediocre benefits; relatively low ceiling for true career development as most new positions remain entry level. An OK company to start with while perhaps building to transition to a more established organization. One that is a bigger fish in a bigger pond that is willing to compensate better.
