Pros

It's good to put on your resume and gives you news experience. The big name will help you get another job.

Cons

Don't work here. Unrealistic expectations. Required to work 24/7, including holidays, for salary in the $40k area. Management will turn on you once you decide you're not going to work for free.

Pros

Loved working for my editor, lots of freedom to find stories. At the time the pay was good and consistent.

Cons

Patch was a great company to work for until they cut costs and laid off freelancers. Now there is little original local content.
