Pros

Freedom to work from home and out in the field

Cons

The large coverage area doesn't allow a local editor to truly grasp each municipality's uniqueness, issues, etc.

Pros

Great goal/purpose; work-from-home; good benefits (when it was owned by AOL. Not sure about now)

Cons

Too much work from home! Haha; Poorly managed on the higher levels it seemed, though it was a heavy lift

Pros

When it launched it had great dreams- Patch was truly going to change local journalism.

Cons

Corporate lost its mind a year or so in - bad hiring at the top and big turn over meant the original mission was lost. Identity crisis, fiscal crisis, always a crisis.
