Tremendous autonomy and flexibility. Good company culture. Lots of ability to be creative and use whatever talents you bring to the table. You get to work from home, which can be a wonderful thing for those with families. Furthermore, you have have the chance to perform community journalism that has a real impact on peoples' lives.

Cons

Goals and objectives are constantly shifting. Company itself is not on solid footing. Very little opportunity for advancement right now.

Exciting, decent training, cutting edge technology.

Cons

Management did not promote the sites properly. Editorial did not have the budgets to hire writers and therefore it was difficult to sell advertising.
