Pros

I was 'hired' as a remote Business Development Representative. They had a lot of weekly meetings covering selling the product. Rep that I worked under was friendly.

Cons

I had particular market I wanted to approach and the Rep that gave the weekly webinars promised to get me information I need to pursue that. She never did and recently I noticed that my account had been deactivated. Good thing I hadn't put a lot of work into this. They dropped the ball.

WORST COMPANY EVER, DON'T WORK HERE.

Pros

- office located downtown close to lots of spots for lunch - free coffee and snacks, and catered lunch on Fridays.

Cons

- WORST MICROMANAGEMENT EVER. They watch every move employees make and do not trust them. - Controlling management that does not empower their employees to learn enough to feel confident to use their best judgement when making decisions. - Low pay and reduced commission and wages during a pandemic while quadrupling work expectations. - Refused to pay full amount on opportunities when commission is already low to begin with. - Coping with management is much more difficult than cold calling. - lack of opportunity for growth and professional development. - incompetent management that lack experience - refused to pay full commission on opportunities - they say they value "long term relationships over short term profits" but will do anything to save a buck at the expense of their employees. - management gives prizes like ice cream instead of paying employees a livable wage. also does not follow through on their commitments to give prizes and incentives - management treats BDR team like they are kindergarteners. - can't give feedback openly to management - good reviews on here are fake as HR asks employees to write reviews to be sneaky around Glassdoor's algorithm - lots of favoritism and won't be promoted unless you are favored by management.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate and value your input as we strive to be the best we can be and are always looking for areas that need improvement. While we have been cautious with expenditures during the Covid-19 pandemic, we take pride in the fact that we have not had to reduce headcount, benefits or compensation. Our leadership teams work hard to ensure that our compensation plans are aligned with the market and include achievable metrics and our managers are diligent in their efforts to make their teams successful. We try to ensure that our managers are receiving training and coaching to be the best they can be and we will be sure to revisit any training needs with the BDR management team. HR does encourage our team members to review their employment experiences with us on Glassdoor as feedback is essential to our growth and success. What our employees write is entirely up to them, and not something we want to influence in any way. Constructive feedback, in any form, makes PayJunction a better company and a better place to work. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors and thank you for contributing to PayJunction's success while you were here.

Pros

* Founders have consciously bootstrapped the company to adhere to the company's mission to "build something that last longer than us" * Tremendously efficient use of technology--they run at a fraction of the size of other payment processors (by volume) through their application of technology and a foundation of solid business practices and processes * Management makes a conscious effort to create a great workplace environment that encourages work/life balance and career growth * Tremendous opportunities to learn a thriving industry. I consider my time there as a real life business school. I learned from technological savvy and shrewd businessmen that created a strong business from the ground up. They gave me the opportunity to touch all aspects of the business, grow my skillset, and try new things. * I can't say enough how grateful I am to have worked at PayJunction with great people to build a lasting foundation for their business.

Cons

* The company is headquartered in Santa Barbara--must be comfortable with staying in the central coast * Management is intentional and deliberate about its growth. They seemingly have no intention to scale to Uber. Must be comfortable with slow, steady growth. Working at PayJunction is a long term play. In entrepreneurial ventures, founders can focus on being rich or being king. The founders have focused on being king. This was done intentionally to ensure the company's culture and mission stays consistent with their original values. Again, this is not a con in the traditional sense but may be for potential employees that are looking for a hyper growth startup.
