Pros

Commission structure is aggressive allowing high earning potential Training is thorough and helpful

Cons

No traditional ramp period and high turnover I’ve seen multiple reps get hired and fired within a couple weeks for not hitting meeting metrics Public Company with many outdated processes (frequently assigned non revenue generating tasks with strict deadlines) and systems (inhouse crm) Implementation can be a pain point. A separate team handles implementation. If there are delays in data collection you will not receive commission for an additional 6 months and the revenue is removed from quota attainment. There are numerous examples of reps that closed enough revenue to make presidents club but ended up on a performance plan due to failed implementations that were out of there control. Culture seems behind the times. You are expected to be in a full suit and tie at all times, whether in the office or meeting with a construction company. Management’s opinion of you can change at any point in time. If you are no longer in their good grace's it’s nearly impossible to keep your job

Pay-Communist Regime

Pros

Money. And that's about it.

Cons

Cult-like atmosphere (it is an actual thing to hear people say drink the kool-aid-I remember one VP telling us to follow Paycom with blind faith), delusional upper management requiring all meetings to be in person in an increasingly virtual world, resection/no starts can make it where you don't see your commission on deals for up to a year or at all (this happened to me twice-conveniently on my two biggest deals). If your main goal in life is to get rich and don't care how you get it, you've found your home. If not, you will find yourself dying inside a bit more each day. I recall when I was 23 looking in the mirror and finding a gray hair after having spent 2 years in this place. Paycom messes with your mind. They try to make you feel small and worthless if you aren't rich or won't buy into the lies upper management tells you. I ended up needing therapy toward the end of my time there.
