Leadership does not know what they want. They make a decision to go "all in" on something only to change their minds after you've put in 40 hours of work on it (often after hours, too). Sometimes things happen, I get it. But for this to be the norm is unsustainable. The turnover has been extremely alarming. If you're looking to work here, ask if it's a new position or how long the person who was in the position was there before they left. People are leaving in droves after less than a year of service. The department is getting a poor reputation around OKC. People do not want to work there because they know about the chaos. No one is ever surprised when someone leaves. This isn't a popularity contest, but it feels like it. You only get what you need if you get the attention of the person in the corner office by sometimes literally following them around. On top of ALL OF THAT be prepared to sit at a desk every single day from 8-5 with outdated technology in an overcrowded office where the bathrooms are constantly closed because they have to be cleaned so often. Good luck finding parking. Enjoy the 15+ minutes it takes to get from your car to your desk. Oh, and don't forget to log your time even if you're a salaried worker! In my new workplace, I'm still reeling from the things that happened to me there. It will take a long time to get over the way I was treated and people who are smart and valuable were treated because we weren't the corner office occupant's besties. But, thankfully because of Paycom's horrible reputation, my new employer totally gets it.
