Pros

Great coworkers. Low cost health insurance as long as you are single and don't have kids.

Cons

No work/life balance. This job is expected to be your life.

Paycom lost its Magic.

Pros

The biggest pro used to be the people. But all of the good ones are leaving.

Cons

Paycom used to be a place that you could accomplish your wildest dreams, make incredible friendships, and live a life of true abundance. It sounds cheesy to say, but Paycom truly had some magic. That Paycom is gone now. As someone that spent more than a decade there, it’s so sad to see what this company has become. Just to name a few things: trainings on Saturdays, being told that if you miss a training you’re fired, leadership cutting 20+ people from new hire classes with no explanation, having to choose between your family or traveling to Dallas every other week for training- I can go on and on. Favoritism runs rampant. One person was allowed to come to training a day late because they were running an iron man, but another person was threatened with termination if they left a training early when their child was in the hospital. The things me and so many others have witnessed over the last 6 months are truly despicable. But if you would have asked me 7-8 months ago about my experience at paycom, I was telling everyone I know how wonderful Paycom was and how thankful I was. That is long gone, again, Paycom has lost its magic. There are still some great leaders left, but they don’t get to actually be leaders. And then there are the leaders still in leadership that had no business being leaders in the first place. My advice to anyone looking for a job at paycom, don’t. Save yourself the stress and disappointment.

Paycom remains a place where driven professionals can grow their life and career, and we don’t shy away from setting high expectations for our reps. We want to clarify for readers that the training examples you shared are inaccurate. We unapologetically invest heavily in coaching and training to reinforce clear expectations and our value proposition, but training is not held every other week, nor would we ever restrict an employee from returning home for a family medical emergency. As you have heard from our CSO, Jeff York, over your tenure, mindset is everything. Our reps not only have the best commission structure around, but are also given defined goals and an investment in training to set them up to be very successful. Our standards remain high. Great company to sell for!

Pros

Excellent pay, room for growth, great product, I love our leadership, great office culture, and a lot of personal growth. To work in outside sales, you have to be a self starter, be tenacious, and have thick skin; however if you stick around, and have extreme ownership over all you do, you will be extremely successful and make a huge impact to your family and all who surround you.

Cons

Not for someone looking for an easy paycheck. This is complex sale, and have to have a high level of emotional intelligence. The job can be demanding at times, and leadership has high expecations of our people.
