Pros

Co-workers are great people to work with.

Cons

Upper management gaslights employees and poorly communicates policy changes. They consistently set unrealistic deadlines. They will fire people who are any level of critical of management so keep your mouth shut if you want to work here. Don't believe any promises and don't trust any kind of policy because they will change it at a whim with no concern for their employees. Look up news articles about Paycom employees revolting. Raises are essentially based on how long you have been at the company instead of merit based for Software Analyst.

Pros

If you like activities, event's, and Paycom labeled gifts then this is a good place for that. They do have good benefits with discounted stock options, and they have an alright 401k match. This is a good place to begin a career and get on the resume. You work hard and gain experience at a well-known company. I also like that they donate to different charities each month.

Cons

The company culture and communication from senior leadership has declined over the last few years. We don't get bonuses or raises as operations employees. The yearly "raise" hardly accounts for inflation. Especially this year. We need more compensation and less Paycom labeled gifts. We have families to feed and bills to pay. I've also asked multiple times about learning new things and telling my leader that I need to learn more and they refuse to do so, because we are "too swamped". Having such a short notice to come back to campus full-time especially when Covid is still such a rapidly changing global issue is a concern (Omicron Variant). I am highly educated and have a drive and desire to be challenged and work hard. It's frustrating when I can't do that at a job like this. Department's within Paycom have completely different guidelines and cultures. We essentially bow down to the sales people even when it isn't right. Ones of our new values is "We care" but I'm not sure who that is supposed to be directed towards. Right now it doesn't feel like it's about the operations employees so maybe it's the clients? I truly hope that this company can get it together because it has been disappointing to experience first hand the feeling that they are losing their soul to revenue.
