Pros

Nothing I can think of

Cons

High turn over company! People get fired over the most silly reasons. Sad when you have to deal with them. Even if the management is wrong about firing staff when the person who is going to be fired has a valid and justified reason not to be! Micromanagement at its finest! I have worked with big corporations in Oklahoma before and no one has just bad management like have seen here

Pros

$4 lunches Free coffee and water Free on site gym

Cons

Be very careful in reading the reviews on glassdoor as paycom makes their employees submit positive reviews during new hire training. The specialist role is very stressful and there is always something that is making the role more difficult. The system is always messing up and you will be swamped with many emails and no time to focus on them because you will be on the phone all day with your own clients (over 100+ clients to manage) and other peoples clients. The turnover is so bad right now that even some Team leaders are having to take on clients. Many employees are also leaving because you are making them come back to the office.

Paycom Specialists are an important part of our success and our clients’ experience. We are constantly focused on product innovation, which is reflected in our quick growth and why we equip our employees with the resources and training needed to thrive in their roles. We welcome feedback and offer several avenues for employees to share their Paycom stories, including sites like Glassdoor. However, our policy is not to incentivize any individual to leave a review. We hope you shared these concerns before your departure, but if you didn’t, we encourage you to connect with our HR team at hrmgmt@paycomonline.com.

Toxic workplace

Pros

One of the few technology companies that pay decently well in Oklahoma.

Cons

So many. But it also depends where you work in the organization. Some teams have terrific managers that buffer senior leadership misbehavior. Others allow teams to be completely at senior leadership's beckoning and that's where the issues fester. Ineptitude in every corner of the company. A "yes men" approach to decision making which has this company in the stone ages. No working remotely and no laptops (outside of sales) because of a ridiculous level of paranoia. A desire to keep doing things the same way because of any sort of risk. This company may be doing well now, but in a few years, the industry will make it obsolete the way it is currently run. Vacation time is ridiculous, you're called in on your days off and it's an immediacy you've never seen before. Managers and Directors are honestly terrified of some (very specific) senior leaders. The overall culture is toxic and you can't trust a living soul or an electronic device. Parental leave is a joke if you ever want to have a kid - you'll never see them since you don't get time off and schedules are not flexible, especially around the holidays. Yes, some companies require that level of structure, but this company is not the CIA, the military or providing a cure for cancer. If discounted lunch is what does it for you, then by all means, enjoy. Otherwise, there is a better opportunity elsewhere.
