Pros

$1 healthcare $4 catered meals Ease of hire Top employer for Oklahoma / one of few tech options to start

Cons

The worst office politics you’ll ever see in your career. Picks favorites for leadership and yes men Lack of actual industry knowledge on tech, product management, etc. problems retaining mid level and recruiting senior level professionals lead to inexperienced process and an unstable product. Led by a sales ceo with little to no understanding of tech. Brilliant idea and marketing but risky.

Pros

$1 health insurance, very solid immediate team culture.

Cons

C-Level management is entirely untrustworthy, as others have noted. Pulling WFH with hardly a month’s notice after saying for months that the situation is permanent is unacceptable. Especially when the decision came out of the blue, with zero data to back the decision. This isn’t a matter of “needing time” to process this decision - it’s absolutely up heartless and gutless. The fallout from this decision is going to leave the department gutted from the ensuing mass exodus. Those who remain are going to be overrun with issues and those who join will be thrown into a dumpster fire of a situation with little to no knowledge of the system. Until upper management grows a heart or is ousted, I’d advise staying away.

Pros

$1 health insurance, my coworkers

Cons

Paycom recently announced that all of the tech department would be forced to return to office despite being promised we would continue the 4/1 hybrid schedule indefinitely. They announced this in a 30 minute Zoom meeting in which the chat function was disabled and the Q&A function was limited, essentially cutting off any voice or input from their employees. After this, they set up a forum page for questions, but quickly closed it for new comments after it was clear they had upset entire multiple departments with this announcement. Anyway, I’ve loved working at Paycom in terms of people I work with every day, but upper management has clear issues with understanding how their people work. A follow up email promised snacks despite confirming that no additional compensation or PTO would be given to make up for lying about our working situation. You couldn’t write better satire. I hope anyone considering a position here sees this, as management will not take it or any other reviews to heart.
