Pros

Pay and benefits were good. Facilities used to be good but moved to a subpar location.

Cons

Started out as a great job but the last year has gone downhill. Management and HR are blind. I was pushed onto a team to “clean it up” and now can’t escape it. Length of device and exceptional work mean nothing. Less than ethical practices are rewarded and the ones that actually work are forced to do the work of those who don’t “for the team”. Never thought I would leave but am now searching for a new job. When I hit 5 years I was hounded to submit a good review. Really? Desperate? Treat people right and you would not have to do that. Isn’t the mass exodus telling you anything? You should know it is cheaper to keep the good ones instead of hiring and training new ones. Attempting to move to other departments is only for the friends of management. Quality of work is not considered but the ability to self promote is. Do you want capable people or sales people?

Pros

Before the cons stated below, this company truly WAS a top company to work for. The work life balance was and still is great in most departments. Culture was very friendly and all the people I worked with all were happy.

Cons

Yesterday, we had a town hall announcing that everyone besides dev must return to the office 5 days a week next month. For dev it's going to alternate between 3 days a week and 2 days a week. This is apparently to increase productivity and push out critical projects. This is unacceptable. Many of us accepted a job here under the impression that we had a permanent hybrid schedule. Now we are being forced to change our entire life due to a completely irrational decision from the very top. All of our leadership below C-level was completely blindsided by this. Good luck with pushing out those critical projects when most of your company leaves and the ones that choose to stay behind are demoralized. I'll be putting in my 2 week's notice and find a fully remote job with someone I can trust. Paycom cannot gain back their employees trust.

Pros

Good benefits, and good team members.

Cons

Look at all of the reviews from 12/13/22 to present. That is the truth of what is happening at Paycom. None of the stories others are sharing are overstated or hyperbole. I thought this would be a place I could work for decades and possibly retire, but with the recent decision to lie to employees when they are hired about permanent 80% WFH, I am being forced to resign. I do not live close enough to travel every day to the office, and I definitely will not uproot my family from our home just to work for a company that will lie straight to their employees' faces. Given how they have chosen to throw me and so many others to the wolves without even considering the financial, mental, and emotional impact on our lives, how could I possibly justify allowing them to gain one more cent off my hard work?
