Pros

High base salary that's it

Cons

This company is a gimmick. The further I am removed the more I realize how I was tricked into thinking it was a good place to work. It's almost cult like the way they indoctrinate you to make you feel like paycom is the best job YOU will ever have. Choose happiness not the deceitful promise of making lots of money.

As you indicated, we do have a very competitive compensation program, which gives our sales representatives excellent earning potential. We communicate the compensation opportunities clearly during both the interview and onboarding process, but it does take grit from our sales representatives to maximize their earning potential. It’s no secret that our goal is to make Paycom “the best job” our employees have ever had and are committed to continuous improvement to make it happen.

Going downhill fast

Pros

Great healthcare benefits, good lunches

Cons

Morale has plummeted. They've become strict on everything and they police everything you do. They're firing people left and right for nothing, yet they spend money to interview Nicole Kidman?? They encouraged everyone to buy their t-shirts then banned them, even on Fridays. There went your advertising. No one wants to wear them out now.

Toxic and unethical

Pros

Good benefits. You can find good people there but make sure you know someone before you confide in them

Cons

Leadership is toxic and rewards ‘children’ for bad behavior. The more HR complaints you have against you the more likely you are to be promoted. Literally. Those that work hard and respect others get pushed to the side and forgotten. With their recent layoffs they provided zero severance and are refusing to pay unemployment for hundreds of people that were affected.

Paycom is a high growth, performance driven organization, which is also reflected in our promotion practices. We have not experienced layoffs, and in fact we are actively hiring across many of our departments. Although we understand certain work environments aren't for everyone, we strive to cultivate a workplace where every team member feels valued and supported.
