Pros

WFM is nice, PTO & Benefits package is nice.

Cons

You will be micromanaged on a “big brother is watching” level if you are working in the phones. The worst job to have considering you get yelled at by customers all day (frustrated by the slow software because paycor decided to record screens of employees instead of updating servers, making the system lag CONSIDERABLY). Most roles have privacy but the one role that is the most overworked, under appreciated, and underpaid is micromanaged down to seconds? Insanity. I can’t go to the bathroom between calls without risking a callout from a manager for an idle screen. My bowels do not adhere to the Paycor clock! Merit increases that happen yearly are laughable. After a HUGE increase to clients fees you would think at a minimum we would be given the inflation equivalent raise, but nope. They decided to pocket that money and spend god knows how much on a deal with the Bengals to name “Paycor Stadium”. On the topic of compensation, it’s worth noting that the yearly bonus are barely significant. You’d be lucky to get the equivalent to one paycheck, although most don’t see that much (I sure haven’t). Yes, the starting pay is *fair* but the Payroll team specifically is expected to do the work and have the knowledge to help with HR, Time, and Tax questions, while not having those expectations reflected in their pay compared to those teams. To justify the lack of compensation, they will mail you a faux pay stub telling you what your benefit package is worth, as if that will help the fact your grocery bill is $75 more a week than it was a year ago. You will be told after about a year in the phones you will be able to start moving around to other departments. It’s all about favorites, and most likely you will have to spend a few years in the phones before any progress. That’s if you don’t get burnt out before giving up. Of course there are exceptions, but those people are not the rule. You will also likely know more about how to resolve client issues than your manager, so don’t bother asking them for help with issues. You’re way better off partnering with a team lead or a tenured associated. Some people get lucky and put in chat, some in email, and some in phones. I haven’t found a rhyme or reason for how they make this decision, but know most people get put in the phones. If you have the opportunity to move to a less intense form of support, know they can (and will) pull you back into the phones if they need it, and if they sense an ounce of underperformance (even if it’s not). Yes, they use the phones as a punishment, which should say enough about the role. TLDR; don’t do it <3

Pros

Leadership is forward thinking- Focused on removing obstacles and finding ways for us to win. Overall, from Raul to my Sales Leader- I know my voice is heard. Outside of that, The tech stack is really solid and is constantly improving. The Strategy and Objectives of Paycor is fantastic and well communicated. I feel confident in Paycor’s success long term.

Cons

We are growing quickly and big sales production is required. Biggest drawback is service and implementation turnover & the stress every month brings with quota expectations.

Pros

Plenty of PTO days, lots of paid holidays, work exclusively from home and they provide equipment. This is where the ro ends and the nightmare begins...

Cons

Pay is garbage. They claim to be in line with pay for the field but you do way more than your role and the money is not even close to what you should be paid. Other departments who only focus on one task are paid several dollars more than us and it's impossible for us to get better wages - Paycor doesn't care. Management is very hit or miss, some good, some horrible for no reason other than to keep their thumb on you, some great and actually care. Company doesn’t care about its employees unless you’re middle management or above. Core values are a lie. Company would spend millions on getting an NFL stadium renamed to Paycor Stadium and then tell employees it cannot afford to give those employees more than a 4% raise (if you even get that). Company will generously give gifts, raises and bonuses to management and above but ignore front line workers and not bend regardless of inflation. Paycor doesn’t care about its employees, period. They have complete months where PTO is blacked out for all employees except those who have been there a while - this means call volume is quadrupled or higher, customers are MAD and you're overworked and they don't care. Your PTO is denied even if put in 6 months prior unless it's during a time when no others want it, which means nothing convenient for you to take - plus you get pointed if you take it AND they will use your PTO too! No sick time. Garbage equipment sent (laptops, etc.), and an IT team that should focus on working fixing Chuck E Cheese machines. Bonuses that are laughable. While it is extra money, it's no where near what we should be getting for all of our hard work performed. With inflation and Paycor now being at or very close to being a Billion Dollar Corp. giving your overworked and severely unpaid, inflation hampered employees maybe .88 cents raise should be illegal. What exactly do you think we're gonna do with maybe $20-$25 per week?? Can you hear me, Paycor? Do you think YOU can live with that kind of money? Where do you think we'll get the most use from that little bitty extra pay? Maybe half a tank of gas? A meal at the store to cook for two? A vacation to France? These are slave wages with what you expect from us. DO BETTER! Giving those in upper management or higher trips and other gifts because you want to celebrate them... what about the front line employees who KEEP YOUR CUSTOMERS?! WE are the ones making sure the clients are taken care of. Retained. Helped. We're the ones getting SCREAMED at, Sworn at! But no, you go ahead and give people who make 6 figures salary a nice gift while you ignore those of us who NEED IT and DESERVE it more!! Eventually, you're gonna run out of people to hire, abuse and lose. WE ARE the ones who make Paycor great. We are the ones doing the work to keep your company growing. Ignore us and I hope you lose it all. The customers hate Paycor as it is. Believe or don't, but Paycor is just awful and is just like all other Corporations out there. Give to those in the group and abuse and ignore those of us on the bottom while keeping us there and never giving us anything. I hope this company goes bankrupt, you sincerely don't deserve anything.
