Paycor's future is bright

Pros

Pros at Paycor are culture, compensation and opportunity. Every company has its challenges and drawbacks. Paycor is no different. I think we were late in making the shift from payroll service provider to unified HR SaaS, but we’re well on our way to delivering a leading HR solution with a clean, fluid experience for executive, managerial and employee users. But what keeps me at Paycor is leaderships commitment to “do the right thing.” Paycor is a company with heart and a conscience.

Cons

Satellite offices can feel like an island and disconnected from HQ

Pros

- Lots of exposure with upper management and C-level executives - Very transparent with all associates. We have what we call “Paycor Pulse” which is a monthly webinar led by executives for the associates. They discuss previous month's results, goals for the current month, any internal changes, product updates, and review current strategies and initiatives - Direct manager is always available for one on ones and extra coaching, but I never feel like I am being micro-managed - Paycor is very good about recognizing associates for a job well done and for hitting quota. I feel like I am rewarded and recognized for my work - Goals and quota are clear and realistic - Each quarter we have reviews with our direct manager. This allows us to receive feedback frequently to always be improving - Growing quickly and expanding, particularly into northeast and western regions of the country - Paycor promotes a lot from within so this allows for plenty of career advancement opportunities - Paycor is an innovative thought leader in the HCM industry, hosting a wide variety of webinars and publishing articles on a variety of HR related topics. This is to best help our clients and prospects understand what is going on in the ever changing landscape of HCM and compliance - Really nice and modern facilities at the HQ in Cincinnati with a cafeteria, workout facility, plenty of meeting rooms, and outdoor seating space. Open seating plan allows for easy access to managers and collaboration with colleagues - Base salary and commission are on par with other positions like this. Commission is uncapped so if you do your job and do it well, you can make some good money - Fast paced, sales environment where you primarily are doing your own work, and creating your own structure for your day. There is also a lot to learn as far as product and industry knowledge is concerned, but you are given the tools you need to be successful - Great work/life balance. I never work nights, weekends, or long hours during the week. A work hard/play hard mentality for sure! - Group happy hours, internal networking events, and opportunities to give back to the community allow associates to meet others outside their departments and get involved

Cons

None, I have been working here almost a year and have loved every second!

Thanks for offering your perspective on working at Paycor. We listened to Associate feedback about increasing our communication. We've stepped up our game with the Paycor Pulse, a livestream of the Associate meeting, strategy blogs and an upcoming field office roadshow. We want all Associates to have confidence in the strategic direction of the company and the results we're delivering. Growth brings opportunity!

Pros

It helps to be drinking buddies with the right people. I'll be honest, I'm not great at my job, and I'm a manager. I'll see how long I can make it work out here before I quit.

Cons

Stupid employees think they are smarter than me. They are wrong. Get your act together and maybe one day you can be a manager too. I doubt it though.
