Pros

Good client service model with one on one support

Cons

Micromanagement at its worst and tons of admin work negatively affects sales success. Paycor was trying to grow and go public at any expense. Like others described, hire as many really good sales reps from the competition. Growing sales but not having implementation support, accounts, opportunities and resources in place for them to succeed. Paycor's strength is the Cincinnati and Ohio market. Outside of that, the company has no clue how to operate successfully. Technology is user friendly but way behind competition.

Thank you for offering feedback on your Paycor experience. Micro-management is a concern periodically surfaced by sellers. We have found that bookings and quota reliability are an outcome of a healthy pipeline. A healthy pipeline is built through planned activity and a consistent sales process. We want an active dialogue about deals between sellers and managers to ensure success. We have found it's a formula that leads to top-tier commissions and President's Club.

Pros

There are some truly kind and helpful people in this organization. There are clearly defined career paths. It is a paycheck.

Cons

*Sales paychecks are nearly almost calculated incorrectly. Indicative of the company at large, they can't get the most basic thing done correctly. The company's plan to go public by simply scaling in sheer numbers backfired, evidenced by the recent lay offs. The estimated earnings shared during the interview process is deliberately misleading. Company culture is a facade. The sales team largely was miserable and resented middle management for their duplicitous stories and opaque reasoning. The offer volunteer trips that are held for the photographic evidence that Paycor is indeed a company that cares. Right after these events employees take surveys asking if they feel like the company's culture and volunteer focus are genuine. Middle management that was in place during the initial scale was inexperience and simply unable to handle the pressures of growth or managing people in general. Office favoritism dictated who can come in late and who can't. HR is a purely a rubber stamp for the company.

Thank you for your feedback. It’s great to hear that you valued the kind people with whom you worked; our culture truly is defined by the great people who work here. We live by Guiding Principles like “take care of the client first” and “have fun along the way” – and we mean it. Employees are encouraged to complete surveys multiple times throughout each year, and our scores continue to tell a story that we’re proud to share about our work environment. I’m also happy that you saw a path for your career growth. Regarding your advice to management, we take these allegations seriously and believe strongly from prior investigation that the concerns raised are not factual.

Thank you for providing a tenured seller's view of Paycor and for highlighting the support system. We think that's one of the things that makes Paycor special - taking care of each other. Also, working to make jobs easier to reach prospects and to service clients is very much a topic the leadership team has undertaken. We're encouraging all Associates to look for and to suggest ways to be more efficient and to streamline the business. Simplifying admin is a focus area.
