although I loved the people I worked with, upper management was horrible. They work store managers so hard, it breaks my heart a little bit. There is constant stress to be the best that is shoved in our face by upper management. However, there is no incentive to do better except the fear of losing our job or knowing you are getting your manager in trouble. There is no positive reinforcement. We are forced to over sell our products to customers, which can really be difficult because you feel you are taking advantage of them, not helping the customer. All together people I worked with are great however upper management was horrible. I actually brought attention to an incident I had with a new store manager retaliating on me by taking away my hours because I reported her because she did not supply any protective products to wear when cleaning the bathroom after a customer spread fecies all over and I was pregnant. When doing so upper management was no help and took the store managers side. The company is definitely not for the employees, we are all replaceable. By the way I worked there for 3.5 years and received max raise each time, caping out after 3 years. I worked extremely hard and had the best numbers in my store and sometimes the district. My managers before the last did such a good job recognizing and appreciating me however, upper management did not. Again, no incentive to do good except fear of failure.
