Pros

Teams on development side may have it a little better Lots of opportunity given the high turnover.

Cons

Turnover is a major issue here. People quickly come and go once they see the skeletons in the closet. Good people leave and the bad ones get promoted. Leadership is the second major issue. The old guard is more accusatory than supportive, has big aspirations but lacks the budgets. Leadership suffocates and micromanages front line managers. Have to work long hours to stay on top of BS and to perform normal duties. I do not recommend Paylocity as a place to work.

Pros

There are a ton of dedicated people who want to make the company better. The product is pretty good for an easy to implement solution.

Cons

Paylocity is notorious for growing their own employees, but significantly under paying them compared to competitors. Employees are continuously stretched super thin and asked to do more with no additional compensation. HR never seems to get anything done except silly weekly videos that aren't productive. Often Paylocity promoted good individual contributors, but that does not mean they make good people managers.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! At Paylocity, we offer competitive pay and equal opportunity for all. Employees have access to the Pay Transparency tool for insight on pay ranges per role at Paylocity, this also includes market pay ranges. We are proud to hire from within and encourage employees to learn about other areas of interest across the business. Employees should connect with their manager or HR Business Partner should they need support along their journey at Paylocity, whether it be mental health related or workload related.

Pros

Work from Home is the main Pro, but that is no longer available to new hires. Other than that they offer decent pay, decent benefits.

Cons

Training only prepares you for the exam, not the job itself. Lack of support from leadership. Awful for mental health.
