Salary does not correlate with work-load, NO WORK-LIFE BALANCE AT ALL, corporate does not hold themselves accountable, absolutely no internal training.
Pegasus Residential is a company that runs blind-eyed and with their noses in the air. The most important task for them at the end of the day is to make as much money as possible, it doesn’t matter how dirty they may have to do it. Not only do they not care about their employees but they do not care about their residents either. In my opinion, this is very important as your product is properties and the residents whom reside in them. Corporate management (VP and above) do not care about their employees or building a strong, solid lower management team, they just want warm bodies and will replace you with no insight on to why you want to leave. The amount of accountability that they force on their managers on-site in extremely unrealistic. For example, I was told, “this isn’t a 40 hr a week job” when I first was hired. They assume you will work 10-14 hour days and will expect you to do so without any reward or verbal affirmation. No one in upper management ever wants to hold themselves accountable. They love to point fingers and blame, and yes, that is never at themselves, they will always blame the manager and on-site staff and will never attempt to be helpful or constructive with their criticism. You are de-valued and under-appreciated majority of the time.
The VP I dealt with loved to hear himself speak, in fact, on numerous occasions I witnessed him tell a group of staff how smart he was and how nothing would get without him. However, he would only come to the community maybe once a year, if that. When he did come, he would create a high-tension environment with his sad-attempt at feeling powerful while disrespecting staff/managers whom work insanely too hard to create a profitable, smooth community. Lastly, HR is aware of his unprofessional behavior and never does anything to resolve this extremely un-balanced, toxic environment.
