Forward thinking, innovative, but micro managed

Pros

Pegasus is very innovative and forward thinking. The Owners compliment each other well and are true powerhouses. They want you to be heard and they listen. Benefits are competitive. Support teams (accounting, marketing etc) are awesome.

Cons

As a Regional Manager, you are very micromanaged. This can make the stress level unbearable. Travel is excessive and reimbursement for travel is not adequate. Most days involve a 12 hour work day. Work life balance does not exist and most days you are left feeling defeated. During my short tenure here, RM turnover was high.

Great benefit plan and commission rates (when they were actually paid)

Cons

I cannot speak for other regions, but in my region they treated their properties as more of "flip and sell" projects. Because of this, they did not proficiently train their employees and the staff turn over was outrageous. Not only did the company mistreat and overwork their employees, but they let residents mistreat them as well. We were hardly ever properly compensated for their work, and it was very rare for everyone to be a team player. They gave me the opportunity to get my first experience within the industry, but it is the worst company I have ever worked for

We strive to on-board and train all employees and take care of them so that they will have long, fruitful careers with us. Knowing you did not have that experience saddens me. Its apparently really hard to get fired for those who disregard all rules and standards. Corporate employees seem to be happy and reap many benefits.

Cons

Fishy overtime policies. I do believe someones pockets are getting fat off of saving money on overtime. As maintenance personnel you get called a lot, and they seem to think your time in the middle of the night is the same as working 9 to 5. There are many questionable things going on behind the scenes. There is a big disconnect between property owners and pegasus. If you like being taken advantage of then this is the employer for you. Otherwise if you value your time outside of work i would work elsewhere. Employees are severely underpaid for the amount of responsibility and time the wish to give you.
