Pros

The culture created here is fantastic. They are family and community oriented. The benefits package is amazing. Their leadership team is something to be admired. They foster growth in employees and want to see them succeed. The CEO leads this company the way a family should be led. That leadership trickles down and makes this company what it is.

Cons

Teleworking would be nice for back office occasionally. But that is more of a personal preference and doesn't negatively reflect this company.

Pros

The PTO was nice and the pay was decent as long as you'd been there for several years. The members were great and understanding.

Cons

New, unsupportive management. Sales, sales, sales (anyone remember what happened to Wells Fargo? Same culture here!) Upper management can't decide on what product/service/style they want and are continuously changing. Change is a good thing, but the employees are left scrambling all the time. CEO continues to drill into his employees' heads to "seek excellence elsewhere" if they have anything to say that isn't what he wants to hear (i.e. constructive criticism based on MEMBER complaints and reviews...not employees). Insane amount of responsibilities placed on frontline staff that no institution has, and the same staff are forced to do things the old fashioned way (keep paper files, etc) resulting in being weighted down...and the same employees are reprimanded if they have even 15 minutes of overtime even if it's because a member walked in late and kept them over. Every day it's a lose-lose situation and your hair will literally start to fall out from stress and anxiety. Oh, and they have uniforms. I've never cared about wearing uniforms or not (sometimes it does help for a more polished look), but one style does not fit all. If you're a bigger person, you are literally going to look like a bag of lumpy crap next to something thinner wearing the same shirt.

Pros

-Community involvement is a core value -Unlike many financial institutions, the purpose is to make lives better, not to make more money -Opportunities for growth and promotion within the company -Management is encouraging rather than pushy and uncaring. Coaching is built on a relationship and a true desire to see each other succeed.

Cons

-Negativity from SOME other employees who were there before the big re-brand/value change. Many seem to wish it was the "old way," but our members seem to benefit from the new way. And I don't think many understand just how good they have it compared to what it's like working for other financial institutions --some branches are short-staffed
